Open Call for Work
Easthaus is kickstarting a print media publication. This new alternative-artist-activist art publication is entitled, The Gut, and is a publication about the guttural response to our times. This is a space to allow us to feel and contribute to what we care about in this world as artists. This new art magazine welcomes any media that can be easily and readily published in physical form.
The theme for our inaugural issue is, The General Digest. Anything goes in and it all gets digested in The Gut. As we are Portland, ME based we prioritize artists in the city BUT as this is a publication it is open for any and all artists who's art resonates with Easthaus and The Gut.
So… What Are We Looking For?
Art (Must be high-quality scan or photograph in .jpg or .png at 300dpi)
Poetry/Essays/Writing (1500 word max, submitted as Google Doc or as PDF if you want to keep your formatting)
Comics (Scanned at 300dpi)
Any other submission ideas send us an email (With the subject line, "The Gut Submission - Issue 1")
Have an idea that seems cool but you are unsure??? Just email us at info.easthaus@gmail.com and run it by us. Please make sure you have the subject line set as "The Gut Submission - Issue 1" and we will get back to you about if we can include it or not or if we would like to envision it for future issues.
