GUT. Issue 2. Open Call for Work
Easthaus is back with our second call for art of GUT, the Dreamweaving issue.
We are all dreaming for something better and after all it is the time of our yearly resolutions. Your GUT has told you what you want—better yet—NEED to work on. We challenge you to hold yourself to account. Write more, text less. Read more, scroll slower. Think more, rot less. You are alive, do not become the robotic mindless machine those in power want you to become.
So maybe this year instead measuring yourself through goals and productivity — what happens if you situate them as dreams and manifestations?
We are artists after all, let our goals become questions; let questions change drastically; radiate growth through this change; and then ask more questions. Of yourself and of the world.
So what we ask you to ponder is, just how are you planning to weave in your dreams, your premonitions, your manifestations, your questions into your everyday life in 2026? What are you dreaming towards, how might you weave it into the world?
Maybe the art you submit are your dreams made real. Maybe its a to-do list or a single word, a mind-map or dreamscape, a fictional story set in a non-fictional world.
What do you wish to change?
Who are you striving to be--what are you reaching towards?
What questions are you asking in 2026?
So… What Are We Looking For?
Art (Must be high-quality scan or photograph in .jpg or .png at 300dpi)
Poetry/Essays/Writing (1500 word max, submitted as Google Doc or as PDF if you want to keep your formatting)
Comics (Scanned at 300dpi)
Any other submission ideas send us an email (With the subject line, "The Gut Submission - Issue 1")
Have an idea that seems cool but you are unsure??? Just email us at info.easthaus@gmail.com and run it by us. Please make sure you have the subject line set as "The Gut Submission - Issue 2" and we will get back to you about if we can include it or not or if we would like to envision it for future issues.
